Self Referral

Most referrals to other specialists will require you seeing or speaking with a GP. However, there are a number of local services, listed below, that you are able to make self referrals to.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Support Worker

One-to-one sessions for people who may be experiencing mental health issues or other social or lifestyle issues that are impacting on their wellbeing. Please state in the self-referral: full name, date of birth, phone number and registered GP practice. It would also be helpful to include a brief outline of the reason(s) for your self-referral. Please type 'SELF-REFERRAL' in the email subject so it can be easily seen.

Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU)

The Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU) is a community service which cares for women who are in the early stages of pregnancy and experiencing pain, bleeding or other problems relating to their pregnancy. If heavily bleeding please attend your nearest Accident and Emergency Department.

At Oxfordshire Sexual Health Service (OSHS), we provide free sexual health screening (tests), treatment, contraception and advice. We also provide care and treatment for people living with HIV. Remember, most infections ARE curable, don’t delay getting tested.
