Book your appointment 24/7 with our automated telephone line. Just ring the Practice telephone number and follow the prompts.
Please attend or telephone the surgery any time during working hours to make an appointment to see the doctor, nurse or other member of our clinical team. You will normally be offered the next available routine appointment with your usual doctor within 48 hours (2 working days). For reasons of continuity of care and efficiency the doctors prefer you to see the same doctor each time where possible. However, should you need to see a specific doctor, for example a female doctor, you should make your needs known when making your appointment.
If you require an appointment for a problem that you feel will not wait until the next available routine appointment, you will be given a time to attend – usually at the end of morning surgery or, if you call in the afternoon, at the end of evening surgery. You may not be able to see the doctor of your choice and you may not be seen at the most convenient time for you, but you will be seen.
You may also request a telephone appointment with your GP or with the practice nurse. You will be asked to provide a contact telephone number, and the GP/nurse will call you at or around the appointed time.
We also offer a daily ‘Express Clinic’ dealing with minor ailments; Monday to Friday 09:30 – 10:30 with the practice nurses.
Please Be on Time
Please arrive promptly. If you are offered an appointment at a time which you will clearly be unable to make due to the time it will take you to get to the surgery, please ask the receptionist for another appointment time. Arriving late for an appointment will make the doctor/nurse run late for the rest of that session. If you arrive more than 15 mins late for an appointment you may not be seen.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible so that we can give the slot to someone else.
Chaperones & Interpreters
If you feel you want a chaperone present at your consultation please advise reception at the time of booking. Similarly, if English is not your first language we have access to an interpreter service but do require advance notice.
