Appointments

We do not accept emails requesting appointments

Please attend or telephone the surgery any time during working hours to make an appointment to see the doctor, nurse or other member of our clinical team. You will normally be offered the next available routine appointment with your usual doctor. For reasons of continuity of care and efficiency the doctors prefer you to see the same doctor each time where possible.

Telephone Appointments

You may also request a telephone appointment with your GP or with the practice nurse. You will be asked to provide a contact telephone number, and the GP/nurse will call you at or around the appointed time.

Urgent Appointments

If you require an appointment for a problem that you feel will not wait until the next available routine appointment, you will be given a time to attend - usually at the end of morning surgery or, if you call in the afternoon, at the end of evening surgery. You may not be able to see the doctor of your choice and may also have to wait longer than usual.

Appointments for Extended Hours (Pre-booked only)

Be On Time

Please arrive promptly. If you are offered an appointment at a time which you will clearly be unable to make due to the time it will take you to get to the surgery, please ask the receptionist for another appointment time. Arriving late for an appointment will make the doctor run late for the rest of that session. If you arrive more than 15 mins late for an appointment you will not be seen.

Cancelling Appointments

If you are not able to make your appointment, or no longer need it, please cancel it as soon as possible to enable others to benefit from it.

Home Visits

Home visits can be arranged for those patients who are unable, for medical reasons, to attend the surgery. Please use the service thoughtfully, and ring as early as possible in the morning to request a visit. The receptionist may ask for further information to enable the doctor to determine the priority and nature of the visit. You will also be asked to confirm your address and to provide a contact telephone number.

Appointments With a Lady Doctor

If you wish to arrange an appointment with a lady doctor you may request an appointment with Dr Janet Murray or Dr Judy Fung. Please note that neither of them perform home visits.
